This is one of the simplest smoothies to help get your day started on the right track! I’ve tried many variations but this is one is my favorite by far and here’s my recipe:
1 cup of kale (organic is always preferred)
1 cup of your favorite plant milk (I used almond but you can use whatever you prefer)
1 whole banana
1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (I prefer plant based sugar/sweeter free) I used Vega in this recipe however there’s some added stevia in the blend but if you prefer a clean blend with no added sweeter, checkout this protein powder on amazon.
a pinch of ginger (in powder or raw form)
This green smoothie packs lots of antioxidants and good nutrition. The ginger is always better in the raw form as ginger is a known energizing super food that is far more effective than caffeine, in my opinion!
Pair this with your favorite breakfast snack or sandwich! Or you can do what I did: Pair with a toasted slice of Ezekiel bread with a spread of almond butter, blueberries and a sprinkle of chia seeds!
